RealPoetik is the oldest and most active little magazine on the internet. Since '96, we've featured one poet weekly; the poems are sent via e-mail to our 1300+ subscribers and published online. Our blog and listserv formats serve to place poems in a transparent, ephemeral context to be read alongside the texts of daily life. Forward them on.
"Martin Stranka's work exists in that space between dreams and waking, those split seconds when a person has a foot in both worlds. Light like the first rays of twilight filtering through a curtain when even the dust seems to glitter with some sort of hidden purpose or meaning.
The language of stillness.
The solitary sound of your own footsteps echoing down the streets of a deserted city. And on every building the flickering image of a silent film like faded memories.
His images.
So personal yet somehow universal they seem like your own memories. Your moments.
And maybe they are... "
David Shrigley's texts, drawings, sculptures, animations, photographs, books, tattoos, music, etc.

Tao Lin is an American poet, novelist and short story writer. Miranda July has said, "Tao Lin writes from moods that less radical writers would let passfrom laziness, from vacancy, from boredom. And it turns out that his report from these places is moving and necessary, not to mention frequently hilarious.
"Our music is formed from the marrow of creative intercourse. Art for arts sake. Indeed. And just as Artaud taught: our music is a protest against the senseless constraints that reduce culture into an inconceivable Pantheon of humdrum, ineffectual lesser gods and puppets of sterility & puritanism. In antiquity, the Theatre was created as an outlet for all of lifes repressions and to proclaim to one and all that lifes intensity is still intact. Just as light is born from the burning flame, we must fight for the glow. But we warn you, this music, our message, and these lessons are not for every soul. Some will be devoured. Others reborn." - ot3p
